Somehow managed to forget the recorder at the house AGAIN so i've gotta go the old-fashioned way and type out the ol' email...
The weeks are definitely going by fast. It seems like they are flying by "like the birds" as I think i remember dad putting it. One of the zone leaders is going home at the end of this transfer, and he said that the last 3 months (2 transfers) goes by reaal slow. I guess i'll see if it goes that way for me. President chambão and a bunch of other missionaries said it goes by much too fast, though maybe it's just something that goes fast after it's all done with. However it goes by, 5 months sure seems like a short amout of time.
This tuesday we had a zone conference. It was a pretty normal zone conference- president and sister chamberlain gave a talk, then the assistance gave a little training, we ate and got some time to talk with each other, and then we split up in zones and had the last training from the zone leaders. The zone conferences here are actually muti-zone conferences. It was pretty sweet, like always. This time Sister chamberlain decided that she wanted me to translate for me. I remember being super nervous that she would have me translate for her in the beginning of the mission. Luckily it's pretty dang easy nowadays.
Friday we spent the whole day locked up in the house cause Elder Prudencio got sick. I guess he ate something that his body didn't agree with cause he was pooping all night thursday night and friday he just kept at it. I spent my time super efficiently laying around and reading every now and then. Being locked up in the house is lame.
Saturday Samuel and his son, guilberth were baptized! The baptism was awesome. Samuel is an awesome guy. We were planning on just baptizing him for now and his son next week but he wanted his son to be baptized with him so we got permission from president and made it happen. He is definitely a convert.
A kid just came up to me and looked at my computer screen, looked and me, and looked back at the computer screen. Then he went and called his buddy over and asked him if he understood anything that I was typing. I told him that I doubt he would, as it is written in english. He then asked me if I could understand what I was typing. The kids here are pretty funny.
Anyways, sunday I made a lemon pie for one of the members that has bought açai and pizza for us a few times and I think the pie came out all right- especially for my first pie i've ever made. I think I need to learn how to make some new foods. Guess now is a good time to start.
I just got back from that bbq place that we all went to a few weeks ago. it was good, so we went back. Elder prudencio wasn't wanting to eat there due to his belly still being a bit weak, so we split up with some other elders and I went with the District leader elder rauckhorst and his comp. It was good, yet again. Gotta love bbq.
That's about all that's happened this week. Elder Prudencio and I are doing great. We currently have a good amount of people to teach, so the contacting we have been doing is paying off. Love you all, until next week!
